Every caregiver employed by AccuCare is thoroughly screened through the Family Care Safety Registry. This comprehensive background check includes review of the following:
Our caregivers are required to have their own vehicle, a valid driver’s license and insurance and are required to drive to work. They are not allowed to take the bus or get a ride to work. AccuCare also carries additional insurance so that our caregivers are able to drive clients for occasions such as doctor and hairdresser appointments, grocery store visits and social events at no additional charge.
Each of our caregivers is required to have at least one year of work experience and must complete an orientation prior to being placed with clients. We have many trusted employees who have several years of successful client relationships.
Additionally, all caregivers are required to have CPR certification renewed every two years. Employees also receive yearly TB testing.
Our Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor work very closely with our scheduling coordinator to provide the “right” caregiver for each client. We maintain consistent and open communication with our clients, their families and our caregivers to make sure that we are providing the best care possible.
